Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were some of the best I've stayed at, close to everything, very clean, and spacious, although I didn't like the carpet. The service was top-notch, with smiling, friendly, and helpful staff always ensuring a great experience. The location was fantastic, right next to the French Lick Resort and downtown French Lick, although it seemed to lack updates since the 1980s. The dining experience was awesome with good swimming pools for the kids and very comfortable beds, yet the breakfast options were limited. The facilities were great overall.
I had an amazing stay at the hotel! The rooms were as good as, if not better, than any 5-star hotel I've stayed in for years. Everything felt cozy and welcoming, making it a truly enjoyable experience. The service was excellent, and the staff was incredibly kind and friendly from the moment I arrived until the time I left. They assisted me with everything I needed and made my stay extra special. The location provided a great getaway from the routine of work and urban life, nestled in beautiful southern Indiana. However, it seemed like there haven't been many updates since the hotel was built in the mid/late 1980s. The dining experience was awesome, especially the breakfast with scrambled eggs and mixed fruit. The hotel had fantastic swimming pools for the kids and an overall warm and welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the size of the location was a bit small to accommodate all the guests comfortably, and some areas may need a refresh. Nevertheless, overall, it was a wonderful stay with excellent service and comfortable rooms.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant. The rooms were beautiful and spacious for the king rooms, but the queens were a little cramped. The customer service was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The location is very nice, being right next to the French Lick Resort and downtown French Lick with plenty of activities around. The dining experience had its ups and downs with letting kids under 12 eat for free but experiencing issues with cold dishes and missing items. The facilities were great overall.
My stay at the historic hotel was truly a mixed experience. While the rooms were surprisingly huge, even with the requested amenities, I still felt a bit cramped. The service, particularly at the eateries like the Steak House, was excellent, but could use some more training. The location in southern Indiana was great with plenty of activities, although the dining choices were a bit limited. The overall value for money was fair, but not exceptional.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were quite small for the price, lacking a sitting area and refrigeration, and the occasional loud blower was disruptive. However, the friendly service and variety of activities for grandchildren were definite highlights.
